Emily Mode is a media artist living in New York. She completed her undergraduate work at Hampshire College and received her MFA from Yale University. She has received funding from The Foundation for Contemporary Arts and an IFP- NYSCA grant. In 2006 her installation "Qualia" was shown at Roebling Hall Art Gallery and Artists Space in New York City. Her single channel video "Qualia Diaries" was completed in the spring of 2009. The video is an official 2009 selection for The Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival (Germany), The Athens International Film Festival (US), The Black Maria Film and Video Festival (US) - where it won a Jury's Choice First prize, and is an official 2010 selection for The Philadelphia Medical Film Symposium and The Other Film Festival at The Melbourn Museum (Australia). |
